2x bet vs 3x bet?

Hello r/poker! Im wondering what the difference between the sizing of preflop bets are. Ive seen many people do 2x, some 2.5x and rarely 3x. Whats the best? What does it accomplish? Can anyone explain the theory behind bet sizing please? :) Thanks!
Top Comment: In reality, there is no perfect amount to open. If you are playing online, it's good to be consistent so nobody picks up on your tendencies.. I have my bet sizing adjust for tournaments as the levels progress... In the first few levels (up to 25/50) I have no problem 3x + 1BB for each limper. After that I will be down to 2.5 or 2.25 +1bb per limper until I reach 100/200 and from there on out I min-raise. Albeit, I play turbo MTTs so this application would be terrible in a lot of formats given stack sizes, etc.. My rationale for my play is that in some tournaments, when you're deep and the average quality of players has gone up, all you are trying to do is win 1-2 rounds of blinds per rotation by picking your spots. When you have 10-20 bb you can't start 3x opening and folding to shoves as profitably as min-raise/folds.. This means you must be consistent and min-raise all of your opening range, unless you are a button limper (not advised in turbo MTTs). In ring games it's a whole different ball game
I hit a perfect pair side bet the other day (2x 9 of clubs). Dealer also showed the 9 of clubs….payed massively.

Top Comment: In n decks there are n cards that are identical. The chances that three of them are the same is (n-1)(n-2)/(52n-1)(52n-2). When n=6, that's 0.000207, or about 1/4820; when n=8, that's 0.000325, or about 1/3068.

as usual, only put 0.5 units to 1 unit on this bet, we’ve built enough profits over the week to play risky, but i don’t want yall to lose all your profits.
I personally put 1unit always.

Is a 0.01 auto bet on a 2x multiplier on dice safe with a 60$ balance?

If not what denomination would be, also I have it set for my bet to double with every loss

No. You'd only have 12 bets in a row until you get wrecked down to 19 dollars. 12 in a row is a .02 percent chance of happening but with how fast these dice roll it does happen fairly quick.
Edit: betting with crypto makes it easy to go under a dollar and make the odds better while slowly building up.
Why is a bigger bet size better for polarized range vs condensed range?

I've been reading up on GTO poker, and the book says in a match-up of nuts/air vs bluff catcher, the higher the bet size the more bluffing is possible. This doesn't really make sense to me, because if you bluff more than 33% of the time won't Villain catch on and call more often?
